#MeMadeMay 2016 - week 1

Scroll down for english, please!

Estão a participar no desafio Me Made May?

Are you participating in the Me Made May challenge? Haven't you heard about it yet? This is a challenge going on for a few years already, and it consists in wearing our selfmade items everyday in May. You don't have to wear a different piece each day, you can mix and repeat. I tried to participate in previous years, but I always dropped off a few days into the challenge, mainly because I would often forget to photograph the looks and just gave up at all later, it didn't even mean I wasn't wearing my handmades.

I decided to give it a try again this year, and since I joined IG a couple of months ago, I am counting on the motivation/support from the community. The truth is that so far, it has been good. I failed to dress any me mades once only, and I failed to document another, but I will tell you later the why to that.

Here's my first week wrap up. Day 1: I wore my second pair of M is for Motto Joggers, which didn't make it to the blog yet, paired with a rtw t-shirt and a rtw button up. Day 2: I used a top I refashioned from a dress, not yet on the blog neither, and paired it with rtw jeans. Day 3: One of the me mades I wear the most. The dress was made in 2012 and back then I made a matching one for G. I used a rtw cardigan to finish the look. Day4: Another matchy dress for me and my daughter (which I didn't wear since I made it), paired with a long rtw cardigan. The pattern was a hack to the Dahlia Top by Golden Rippy. Day 5: To stay in the same mood, I used yet again another piece I made matching my daughter's, a shirt this time. Obviously I do like those corny things (and there's even more), although most of hers don't fit her anymore. The pattern is the Extraordinary Girl by Filles à Maman. Day 6: I didn't document this day, which I spent most part of in Spain and then in the afternoon I started to feel sick which made me forget about the challenge, I just needed my bed. That day I wore the first pair of M is for Motto Joggers I made, paired with a rtw shirt and a cardigan again. Day 7: I spent the day in bed, in my pajamas. Day 8: I got to use my second M is for Motto Joggers pair again, with the refashioned from a dress, Hemlock Tee I shared on the blog a couple of days ago, and again my rtw long cardigan.
